Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Letter – 2015

“It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to get extraordinary results.” -Warren Buffett-

The Oracle of Omaha speaks again in his eagerly awaited annual Shareholder letter.

As the political rhetoric escalates, Buffett is once again the voice of reason. Over the cacophony, he points out that many have become way pessimistic. As parents voice concerns that their children will be forced to accept a lower standard of living, Buffett points out that American babies born today are the “luckiest crop in history.”

While many see the seemingly nascent 2% annual growth in GDP as a negative, Buffett sees it as a positive, because of the powerful effects of compounding. He points out that in a single generation, even 2% annual growth can result in a gain of 24.4% in real GDP per capita.

Coming from someone who has seen as much and done as much as Buffett has in his 80+ years, the optimistic tone is refreshing and insightful. Click below to read his most recent letter. We hope you will enjoy it, just as we did, and be inspired to the abundance on our economic horizon.
